THE POINT X WOODS BAGOT

Shell House is a refined fusion of history and modernity, offering four distinct hospitality experiences that seamlessly blend sophistication with theatricality. Located in the heart of Sydney, the venue offers spaces like the Level 9 Dining Room & Terrace, with its European-inspired courtyard and lush botanical terraces, and the immersive Clocktower Bar, housed within the iconic 1930s clocktower. The Sky Bar evokes a playful energy with its eclectic décor, while the Menzies Bar pays homage to the glamorous Menzies Hotel, offering a European-style bistro experience. Each space is thoughtfully designed, using a mix of vintage pieces, natural materials, and intricate detailing to create an atmosphere of luxury and escapism.

As part to the core of Shell House’s visual identity, Mikey Freedom, as the venue’s artist-in-residence, working alongside Anna Hewett, Lead Interior Stylist, developed vivid art installations, from hieroglyphic like walls to mosaic tables, murals, and sculptures, becoming integral to the venue's character. These curated pieces blend past and present, adding a playful, indulgent dimension to the space that invites guests to linger and explore.

Mikey’s work in this context does not simply sit as a backdrop but as a central woven element that elevates the venue’s atmosphere, enhancing the sense of refinement and theatricality, while seamlessly aligning with Shell House’s sophisticated design.

It’s been said that “somehow Shell House makes Sydney more Sydney”.
